TBT Travels: Sri Lanka

Pic: The Fortress, Koggala

It’s crazy to think that it’s almost two years since we visited the beautiful teardrop island of Sri Lanka.

Ever since I first saw Duran Duran stroll the sands of the beaches on the South West coast, I’ve wanted to retrace their footsteps across the tropical paradise, taking in the chaos of Colombo and experiencing the rich Sinhalese history in the cultural triangle. It took many YouTube replays of the Save a Prayer and Hungry Like the Wolf videos but  in May 2013 we finally got there.

It was the trip of a lifetime and one of the few places in the world I would want to revisit time and time again. But until I do, I’ll have to make do with my own snaps and more plays of Simon Le Bon & co.
